The St. Louis MQG announces
Trunk Show with Diana Li Fitzgerald, Banjo Flannel
Patchwork Sashiko Truck Show
Diana’s Patchwork Sashiko Method is best appreciated when samples can be seen and touched. This method creates a very textured and tactile textile that adds a unique touch to any sewing project or displayed on its own. Her current collection of sewing patterns including those featured in her book "Patchwork Sashiko: Transform Your Scraps", will be presented. Diana will demonstrate her technique and briefly talk through each step followed by questions and answers. Patterns and kits will be available to purchase.
Patchwork Sashiko Top Embellishment
Diana's Patchwork Sashiko Method is a unique mash-up of different slow stitching and patchwork techniques. This method produces not only a beautiful textile, but can be applied to clothing. We'll practice laying out a patchwork and hand-stitching before applying it to your own favorite scraps and top. The top should be made of woven fabric (not stretch/jersey) and will be easier to implement if the front is open or is buttoned up. A sewing machine is not needed for this workshop.
