The 2024 Quilt Show was held in Queeny Park at the Greensfelder Recreation Center on March 23rd and 24th. Over 1400 quilt lovers attended the show throughout the two days, in addition members of the St. Modern Quilt Guild were in attendance either working or just communing with the quilts. We want to thank everyone that attended, without you we simply could not put on this event.
Over 350 quilts were displayed, with 326 being a part of the juried show. Other quilts were shown as either part of special exhibitions or as part of vendor booths; which we loved. It’s not possible to have too many quilts.
Attendees voted on their favorites in each of the thirteen categories.

Over 85 members volunteered to work in various ways throughout the weekend and we would like to give a special thanks to Robyn Passig; the committee leader of this major effort and her merry band of committee members that led and participated in various roles.

Vendors
With the new location, we were able to provide space for 15 vendors. Thanks to all the vendors because second only to quilt viewing, we love to shop. Click on their names for more information.
Raffles
We offered two raffles to add to the fun. The first raffle was two quilts created by the guild as part of the international organization The Modern Quilt Guild’s annual community outreach challenge. The 2021 challenge quilt, Gateway Arches, was won by Leslie Strand and the 2023 challenge quilt, Gateway, was won by Rene Howard. The proceeds of this raffle of over $1300 will go to Women’s Safe House and Youth in Need. For more information about the challenge quilts and to see our most recent one, go to the Quiltcon Charity Challenge Quilt page on our website.

Our second raffle was a Babylock Aurora Sewing and Embroidery Machine so generously donated by Jackman’s Fabrics [link]. Thank you so much Jackman’s! you "sew" know what we love. We raised over $1300 which will go to help offset the costs of the show. The machine was won by Molly Maryan, who reported that she’s been borrowing her mother’s machine. We are happy for both Molly and her mother. Everyone needs their own machine. |
