Charity Committee

  • This year’s charity is Hope Ignites in Richmond Heights.
  • STLMQG will be supporting this organization through donation of extra long twin quilts. See slides for more info on size and other guidelines.
  • Quilts accepted now through the November ‘26 meeting.
  • We have 5 quilty crews! Thanks to Philip Key for providing longarm services to each of the quilty crews, and to Melissa Eagan with Black Hole Studio for providing a meeting space.
  • Hope Ignites is also looking for a donations of school supplies. See slide for more info.
Community Outreach Challenge 
  • Theme is half-square triangles and we are using the Misty color palette. 
  • Packets will be given at the August and September meeting and will be collected in September or at SewMe. 
Swap Committee 
  • Part two of the swap due at the August meeting - create something with the block you received in the swap
Programming Committee 
  • Keep an eye out for emails coming soon. 
Welcoming Committee 
  • Welcomed all guest and new members
  • Wilma is still looking for buddies, please contact Wilma if you are interested. 
Member Announcements 
  • Hope - Looking for donations of 8 quilts for a fundraiser, contact her for more information. 
  • Laura - Perennial received a large donation of quilt patterns and magazines, they are all free! Next Saturday they have a repair fair, more information and be found here. 
  • Peggy - Circle and the square workshop
  • Carol - Common Thread Festival, Saturday June 27th, more information can be found here
  • Melissa - Her studio, Black Hole Studio, will have a table at the Common Thread Festival. She also has a UFO Challenge going, more information on her Instagram, here. 
  • Em -  Cotton Cuts has sign ups open for the Fall PMQ starting in July. More information and to sign up can be found here. 
  • Susan - Save the date for the Loose Threads quilt show, November 7th - 8th 2026 at the St. Peters Rec-Plex.

The meeting ended with Show and Share and announcement of attendance and fabric raffle winners. Dismissed at 12:10pm.
