The time for Quilt Con class registration is near! Registration begins August, 20 at 9 a.m. Please check out the Quilt Con website for pricing, details on classes, AND to ensure you have access to your Modern Quilt Guild account. Updated pricing and all other details for Quilt Con 2026 can be found here.

The Art Quilt Elements Show has their quilt submissions open now through October 16.

Swap & Challenge: Stripes! More information in the slides, the challenge ends in November. The next swap will be for Sew Me STL participants, more information to come in August!

Sew Me STL: October 10-12! Registration begins July 13 - August 13. Volunteer registration also started July 13. Hotel room raffle will be held at the September meeting. Bring retreat raffle items to August and September meetings. Sew Me STL is a members only event! All details can be found on the website here.

Charity: Barbs Phelps, Chelsea Hackbart, Cindy Templin have won the longarm quilting prize! Anyone who didn’t win, can resubmit for the August giveaways. Thank you to participants and the longarmers! No baby quilts please. Quilts accepted are tweens and teens, all genders. It doesn’t matter if it’s modern, any quilts will be accepted. 

Quilt Show Committee: March 14 & 15, setup on March 13. Quilt show categories are listed on the website here. Submissions open on Dec. 15 and run through Jan. 15.

After the August meeting, Candy Grisham is hosting a Dresden Plate workshop: Give a Girl a Wedge. You can register for this workshop on our website here. A sign-up link has also been sent to your email.

Quilt Con Community Challenge quilt block packets will be available for pick-up in August. More information to come!

We then had our 15 year celebration with a panel full of our first board, along with cake, 15 year pins, and a fantastic raffle put on by our social team. Thank you to everyone who helped put on a stellar celebration for our guild.
